Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms form the agreement between you and Polisha when you buy any of our packages. Please read them before you pay. If you do not agree with them, do not place an order.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Polisha is a one-person service business operated by Tobi Aina (Oluwatobi Aina Kayode) in Ontario, Canada. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Polisha. “You” means the person who places the order.
These terms apply to every order placed through https://getpolisha.com, whichever package you buy. Where a clause applies to only some packages, it says so. Together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Service Authorization & Confidentiality document and Disclaimer, they are the whole agreement between us.
2. The packages we sell
We sell three individual services and three bundles of them: Polisha Inbox ($39), Polisha LinkedIn ($69), Polisha Resume ($79), Polisha Visibility ($89), Polisha Applications ($129), Polisha Complete ($149). Every package is a one-time, hands-off engagement delivered asynchronously. There are no calls, consultations or bookings.
Polisha Inbox: organization of one Gmail or Outlook inbox; job-search folders or labels; filters for recruiter, application and interview emails; selected newsletter unsubscribing; organization of up to 5,000 existing emails; and a completion checklist describing what changed.
Polisha LinkedIn: a profile audit; a rewritten headline; a rewritten About section; experience-section optimization; skills and keyword recommendations; and recruiter-friendly positioning, delivered as a document you paste into your own profile.
Polisha Resume: a complete, ATS-friendly rewrite of your resume, tailored toward one target role, with achievement-focused bullet points and relevant keyword optimization, a maximum of two pages, delivered in Word and PDF.
- Polisha Visibility: Polisha LinkedIn and Polisha Inbox together.
- Polisha Applications: Polisha Resume and Polisha LinkedIn together, written to say the same thing.
- Polisha Complete: all three services, with one consistent story across them.
Whichever package you buy, you may instead ask for a short screen-share or remote-control session in which you stay in control of your own device and enter content yourself. This is optional, offered at our discretion, and is not part of the standard asynchronous service.
3. What is not included in any package
To avoid any misunderstanding, no package includes:
- Applying for jobs on your behalf. We never submit applications for you.
- Interview coaching, mock interviews or salary negotiation.
- Career counselling, psychological support or professional mentoring.
- Immigration, legal, financial or tax advice.
- Recruitment or placement services. We are not a recruitment agency and do not represent you to employers.
- Any guaranteed outcome, no guaranteed job, interview, recruiter reply, profile view, screening result or response of any kind.
- Ongoing management of your resume, LinkedIn profile, inbox or applications after delivery.
- Logging into your LinkedIn account, or posting or messaging as you on any platform.
- Cover letters, portfolios or additional documents, unless separately agreed and quoted.
Important: We improve how you are presented and how your job search is organized. We do not and cannot control hiring decisions. Nothing on this site or in any communication from us is a promise of employment or interviews.
4. Accurate information and our no-fabrication commitment
This is the most important commitment we make, and it applies to every package.
Important: We never invent, exaggerate or misrepresent your experience, qualifications, employers, job titles, dates, certifications, education or achievements, on a resume, on a LinkedIn profile, or anywhere else. We write persuasive, well-structured copy about the real work you have actually done.
You warrant that everything you supply is accurate, complete and truthful, and you are solely responsible for its accuracy. We do not and cannot verify your claims, we take what you tell us at face value and present it well. Before you publish anything we deliver, review it and confirm it is a true statement about you.
- If you ask us to add experience you do not have, inflate a title, move or extend employment dates, invent a degree, licence or certification, or overstate your work authorization, we will say so and offer an honest alternative.
- If you insist, we will decline the order or halt work on it. If we decline before substantive work has begun, we refund you in full; if we halt after substantive work has begun, refunds are handled under the Refund Policy and are at our reasonable discretion.
- Misrepresenting yourself on a job application can have serious consequences for you, including the withdrawal of an offer, dismissal after you are hired, and damage to your professional reputation. That risk is yours, not ours.
5. Account access: only packages that include Polisha Inbox
Account access is not a universal part of what we do. It is required for one thing only: organizing your inbox.
- Polisha Resume, Polisha LinkedIn and Polisha Applications bundle are delivered entirely as documents. They require no password, no credential and no access to any account of yours.
- Polisha Inbox, Polisha Visibility and Polisha Complete include inbox work, and therefore require temporary access to one email account.
- Even then, we never receive a permanent password. You create a unique temporary password and share it only through an encrypted, expiring Bitwarden Send link, as set out in the Service Authorization & Confidentiality document.
- We never ask for your LinkedIn password and never sign into your LinkedIn account, on any package.
The intake form has no password field. If anything claiming to be us asks you to type a password into a form or send one by email or message, it is not us, stop and email hellopolisha@outlook.com
6. Applicant tracking systems and screening software
This section applies to Polisha Resume and to any bundle containing it.
Applicant tracking systems vary widely between employers, are configured differently by each one, and change over time. We build your resume to widely-accepted parsing and formatting practice: a clean single-column structure, standard section headings, real text rather than images or text boxes, conventional date formats, and keywords drawn from your target role.
- We do not guarantee any outcome, ranking, parsing score, match percentage or “ATS pass rate”. No one honestly can.
- We do not claim compatibility with, testing against, or certification by any named applicant tracking system or screening product.
- An employer may use a system, a configuration or a manual process that reads your resume differently from how any general best practice would predict.
- “ATS-friendly” describes how the document is built. It is not a promise about how any particular employer's software or recruiter will treat it.
7. Price, taxes, payment and the launch offer
- Our packages range from $39–$149 CAD. The current prices are: Polisha Inbox ($39), Polisha LinkedIn ($69), Polisha Resume ($79), Polisha Visibility ($89), Polisha Applications ($129), Polisha Complete ($149).
- Bundle prices are lower than the sum of the individual services they contain; the struck-through figure shown beside a bundle is that sum, not an inflated former price.
- As a launch offer, Polisha Complete is $119 CAD for the first few genuine customers, after which it returns to its regular price of $149 CAD. The number of launch places is fixed in advance, is never inflated, and the site stops advertising the offer automatically once they are used.
- The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Applicable Canadian sales taxes are added or included as required by law and shown before you confirm.
- Payment is taken in full, up front, through Stripe. Work does not begin before payment clears.
- Stripe processes your card details on its own systems. We never see or store your full card number.
- Prices may change at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already paid for.
8. Ordering, delivery, scope limits and revisions
The order flow is: you pay, you complete the intake form, you send anything your package needs, a resume file for resume work, a profile URL for LinkedIn work, secure temporary access for inbox work, we do the work, and we send you a completion email.
Our delivery target is 48 hours for every package. That clock is a target, not a guarantee, and it starts only once we have received everything your package requires.
- The clock pauses whenever information or access is missing, incomplete, expired or invalid, and restarts when the missing piece arrives.
- If a Bitwarden Send link has expired before we open it, we will ask you for a new one and the clock stays paused until we receive it.
- Weekends and public holidays in Ontario, Canada may extend the target.
Each package has defined limits, so you know exactly what you are buying:
- Polisha Inbox: one mailbox, on Gmail or Outlook, and organization of up to 5,000 existing emails. If your mailbox holds more than that, we prioritise recent and job-search-related mail, set up filters so new mail sorts itself from then on, and tell you plainly where the work stopped. Organizing a second mailbox is a separate order.
- Polisha Resume: tailored toward one target role, to a maximum of two pages. Tailoring the same resume toward an additional role is a separate engagement, quoted separately, and is not a revision.
- Polisha LinkedIn: your headline, About section, experience content, and skills and keyword recommendations. You paste the content into your own profile.
Revisions are included per component, not per order:
- Polisha Resume: one reasonable revision.
- Polisha LinkedIn: one reasonable revision.
- Polisha Inbox: no formal revision is included. If we made an error in the setup, a filter routing the wrong mail, a mislabelled folder, a sender you protected that we filtered anyway, we correct it, and that correction is not a revision, it is fixing our own mistake.
- Bundles, one revision on each component that carries one. Polisha Applications bundle therefore includes one revision on the resume and one on the LinkedIn content.
A revision means refinement of what we delivered: adjusting tone, correcting a detail, or reworking a section you are not happy with. It does not mean a new brief, a different target role or industry, a rewrite based on information you did not give us at intake, a second mailbox, or a complete restart. Those are new work and are quoted separately.
Please request your revision within 14 days of the completion email. After that the order is closed. If a revision needs inbox access again, you will need to create a new temporary password and a new Bitwarden Send link, because we do not keep the old one.
9. Your responsibilities
The quality and speed of the work depend on you. By placing an order you agree to:
- Give accurate, complete and truthful information about your experience, qualifications and goals, as set out in section 4.
- Send the materials your package needs: your resume file or link, your target role and a sample job description for resume work; your profile URL, target titles and positioning preference for LinkedIn work.
- For inbox packages only: confirm that you own the email account you ask us to organize, or that you have the clear right to authorize access to it.
- For inbox packages only: create a unique temporary password for that account, never a password you use anywhere else, and share it only through an encrypted, expiring Bitwarden Send link.
- Never send us a password by email, WhatsApp, SMS or an ordinary form field.
- Respond to our questions within a reasonable time.
- For inbox packages only: change the temporary password immediately when you receive the completion email, and sign out other sessions on the account.
- Review the delivered content before you publish or submit it, and confirm it accurately reflects you.
10. Acceptable use and prohibited requests
We will decline, and may cancel, any order that involves:
- Misrepresenting your qualifications, credentials, licences or work authorization.
- Fabricating employment history, job titles, dates, degrees, certifications or achievements.
- Access to an account you do not own or are not authorized to control.
- Any request to read, copy or forward another person's private correspondence.
- Writing a resume or profile for someone other than the person named on it, where that person has not consented.
- Unlawful activity, harassment, or anything that would breach a third-party platform's rules.
- Abusive or threatening behaviour toward the provider.
We write persuasive, accurate copy about your real experience. We do not invent experience you do not have. If a request crosses that line we will say so and offer an honest alternative.
11. Third-party platforms, including LinkedIn
LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits sharing account access or passwords. We respect that. We never ask for your LinkedIn password and never log into your LinkedIn account. Your LinkedIn content is delivered as a document that you paste into your own profile yourself.
Your accounts remain yours. You are responsible for your own compliance with LinkedIn's User Agreement and with the terms of any other platform you use, including your email provider and any job board or application portal. We are not responsible for any action a platform takes against your account, or for changes a platform makes to its features, rules, screening software or algorithms.
12. Intellectual property and confidentiality
- Once your payment has cleared, the written content we deliver, your resume, your profile copy, your completion checklist, is yours. You may publish, edit and reuse it freely.
- You keep ownership of everything you give us, your resume, your history and your materials.
- We keep ownership of our own templates, checklists, frameworks and general methodology.
- We may reuse anonymised general methodology and technique on other projects. We do not reuse, resell, publish or show your content, your resume or your personal details, and we do not use you as a named example without your written permission.
- The website, its copy and its design remain our property.
Everything we see in the course of the work, your resume, your career history, your salary details, your inbox contents and the fact that you are job-searching at all, is confidential. We do not disclose it to anyone, except where we are required to by law. Full details of what we will and will not do while inside your inbox are set out in the Service Authorization & Confidentiality document, which forms part of this agreement.
13. No guarantee of outcomes
We do not promise, guarantee or imply that you will get a job, an interview, a recruiter response, a profile view, a screening result or any other outcome. No such promise has been made anywhere on this site, in any advertisement or in any message from us, and you should not rely on one.
Hiring decisions are made entirely by employers and recruiters, based on factors outside our control: your experience, your qualifications, the market, timing, competition, the software an employer chooses to use, and your own effort in applying. Our packages improve your professional presentation and the organization of your job search. That is what you are buying.
14. Limitation of liability, indemnity and termination
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except for liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Canadian consumer protection law:
- Our total liability to you for any claim connected with a package is limited to the amount you actually paid for that order.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss.
- We are not liable for lost job opportunities, lost interviews, lost income, lost profits, lost data or reputational harm.
- We are not liable for how any employer's screening software or recruiter treats a document we produced.
- We are not liable for problems caused by information you gave us that was inaccurate or incomplete, by your failure to change a temporary password, or by any action taken by a third-party platform.
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, from information you supplied that was false or misleading, or from your instruction to access an account you did not own or were not authorized to control.
- You may cancel before work begins; see the Refund Policy for what is refunded, and for how a partly-started bundle is treated.
- We may decline or cancel an order at our reasonable discretion, for example where a request is prohibited under section 4 or section 10, where access cannot be obtained safely, or where communication has broken down. If we cancel before substantive work has begun, we refund you in full.
- On inbox packages you may withdraw access authorization at any time by changing your password and emailing hellopolisha@outlook.com Work stops immediately and we delete any credential we hold.
- Neither of us is liable for delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, including platform outages, network failure, illness, natural disaster or government action. If such an event delays your order, we will tell you and agree a new timeframe or refund the unperformed part.
15. Governing law, changes and general terms
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario, Canada have jurisdiction over any dispute.
- Before starting a formal dispute, please email hellopolisha@outlook.com Most issues are resolved quickly and directly.
- We may update these terms, and we may add, change or withdraw packages. The version in force for your order is the one published when you paid.
- If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms continue to apply.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- You may not transfer this agreement to anyone else without our written consent.
